Families Gather for the Fifth Annual NICU Reunion

“Once upon a time,” was the theme of the Fifth Annual Kim and Steven Ullman Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Reunion. More than 500 people attended the June event at Richard Rioux Park in Stevenson Ranch; the gathering featured fun activities, games and food for NICU families, Henry Mayo staff and guests. Crowns were placed on the heads of the young princes and princesses of the NICU upon their arrival.

The NICU graduates and their families were treated to a variety of activities, a special slide show, a first aid demonstration and tours of a fire truck brought in by the local fire department. NICU graduates also received gift bags as mementos.

The NICU Reunion gives staff and families a chance to get together and see the growth and change in these miracle babies. It was a heartfelt and touching experience for everyone, and especially meaningful for the families who had a chance to express their gratitude to the NICU staff. IYH
