First Annual Cancer Awareness and Resource Expo




Henry Mayo’s popular Colossal Colon Museum and Giant Lung Display

The full day of activities included self-guided educational tours of Henry Mayo’s popular Colossal Colon Museum and Giant Lung Display.

Almost 500 people attended the first annual CARE SCV: Cancer Awareness 
and Resource Expo on February 25 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center, at College of the Canyons (COC).

The event was presented by Henry Mayo in partnership with COC. The full day of activities included self-guided educational tours of Henry Mayo’s popular Colossal Colon Museum and Giant Lung Display.

Representatives from several support groups and non-profit organizations were available to provide survivor and caregiver support, and patient resources. A panel of expert cancer physicians answered questions during the final session of the program. A blood mobile was also on-site at the expo. IYH
